Seven Angolan startups will participate in the Web Summit 2024, which starts today and runs until November 14, in Lisbon. The participation is a partnership between the National Institute for Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM) and the organization of the event, with the sponsorship of the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
INAPEM informs that this international presence is the result of the “Investment Readiness” program, held between July and October 2024, focusing on training startups with high growth potential, providing them mentoring and access to investment networks. Among the 11 startups that participated in the training, seven stood out for innovation and impact in their sectors, including ANDA, CYTO, SOCIA, AROTEC, KUBINGA and ECO SELECTA.
The selection process, described with precision, evaluated aspects such as innovation, growth potential and ability to generate impact, key elements for success in global technology markets. This initiative is part of the Startup Angola program, led by INAPEM, with the aim of strengthening the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in Angola.
The Angolan participation in the Web Summit underlines the joint effort between the Executive and private sector partners to create opportunities for young Angolan entrepreneurs and contribute to the country’s presence at international events of note in the world of innovation and technology.
