Executive Reiterates Commitment to Digital Literacy in The Country

The Secretary of State for Climate Action and Development, Paula Cristina Coelho, reiterated the Executive’s commitment to continuing to focus on programmes aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the framework of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, based on increasing digital literacy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Ana Paulo was speaking at the opening of the 5th edition of the CEO Roundtable, held on Thursday at the Talatona Convention Centre in Luanda.

She said that the companies had already reviewed the fundamental aspects of the digital transition and its impact on the economy, and stressed the importance of all the players involved doing their bit in favour of a green and resilient economy in the face of obvious threats such as global warming caused by economic activity.

The Secretary of State for Secondary Education, Soraya Kanguela, highlighted the implementation of free access Internet and media points in various parts of the country among the grandparents who are contributing to increasing the penetration rate and digital literacy among young people.

The event was marked by several panel discussions, including: ‘Digital Economy and Cybercrime; How to Promote Business Growth without Compromising Data Integrity’, among others.
